Join the bench

A curated register, not a directory. Everyone on it has been assessed against a rubric we publish, on evidence they supplied. That is slower to join than a marketplace and it is the entire reason a hirer pays attention to it.

Before you start

  • You are never charged a fee. Not to apply, not to be listed, not when you are hired. Charging a work-seeker to find them work is prohibited under UK recruitment rules, and we would not do it anyway.
  • Evidence is required. A claim with nothing behind it is not assessed. One solid piece beats five vague ones.
  • Six disciplines maximum. Assessing ten claims properly is not possible, and a register that pretends otherwise is not curated.
  • You will get a reason. If the answer is no, you are told which criterion was not met and what would change it.
  • We introduce, we do not employ. You contract directly with the hirer. We never hold your money and we do not determine your employment status.

Disciplines 0 of 6

Pick only the ones you can evidence. Six is the limit on purpose: assessing ten claims properly is not possible, and a register that pretends otherwise is not curated.

Evidence

At least one piece, required. A claim with nothing behind it is not assessed, and this is the part that makes the register worth anything to a hirer.

We hold what you enter here to assess you and to match you to roles. You are never charged a fee, for anything. See the privacy notice for retention and your rights.

Over Unity makes introductions between hirers and independent specialists. It is not a party to any engagement, does not hold or transfer payments, and does not determine employment status. Specialists are never charged a fee.
